A happy and healthy start

With the new year well and truly here, the desire to make a healthy start to the year is infectious. Like you, we’ve been thinking about the small changes we can make to ensure 2018 is a good one for our health too. But, if we’re honest, we wouldn’t spend too long thinking about it, after all – as a Cocoa Amore customer you already treat your body like a temple. And, you’ve already started the year with an advantage – you know the benefits cocoa can bring.

So, whilst your colleagues and loved ones are experimenting with fruit smoothies, weighing out their goji berries and carefully selecting their greens (all commendable actions by the way), don’t forget to enjoy taking a bite or two of a single origin cocoa without any hint of guilt. Eat your chocolate with pride – we will – and feel free to share the following fact if a vegetable substitute is recommended your way:

Cacao beans are rich with flavonol antioxidants. Antioxidant-rich diets have been linked to low blood pressure and reducing the risk of developing heart disease. So you could say dark chocolate is good for you.

Obviously, we’re not suggesting that a diet solely made of chocolate is healthy – even we believe in everything in moderation. But, what we are saying is don’t forget there’s nothing wrong with a nibble on your favourite bar this new year – after all a little bit of what you fancy does you good.
